A Day at The Wayside Chapel

In February, nine members of the Bennelong  Foundation community in Sydney took their volunteer leave to spend a day  at the Wayside Chapel. It was a very inspiring and moving day, spent  learning about the history and challenges of the people experiencing homelessness  living  in the Kings Cross area. Participants also had the opportunity to see  and experience the work of The Wayside Chapel in supporting this  community. The session ended with preparing and cooking a community  lunch, serving the lunch and sharing the meal with many of the homeless  and isolated members of the community.
