Inaugural Pitch In UK

In June 2022 the UK Foundation hosted its first UK Pitch In event in partnership with St Mellion Estate and Crown Golf. The opportunity to host and experience a Pitch In event in person was a wonderful experience, bringing members of the Bennelong Foundation UK representing Crown Golf and the Cornwall region together to actively participate (for the first time) in giving to projects in the region.

Three inspiring leaders, representing Liskard & Looe Foodbank, Livewire Youth Music Project and WILD Young Parents, working to address challenges experienced by young people in Cornwall were invited to share their stories and projects with the Bennelong Foundation UK community. More than 70 people attended to support the Bennelong Foundation UK to distribute £30,000 between the three charities. This included staff and members of Cornwall Golf and St Mellion Estate, members of the Cornwall philanthropic community and the 2021 Bennelong Foundation UK Cornwall-based grant recipients.

The event was also an opportunity to invite three young musicians from Livewires Youth Music Project to perform. Guests were overwhelmed by the young performers’ talent, and it was a wonderful opportunity to support the work of our grant partners and the young people they are working with beyond grant making.
